Signing over property to a child

Question:
At what age does a child need to be for a parent to sign their property over them?

A child under the age of 18 cannot be a legal owner of property in this country. However they can have beneficial ownership, which is really what counts. So you can sign over beneficial ownership of a property to a child of any age, but if they are under 18, an adult will have to own it in trust for the child, the adult’s name will have to be on the legal documents, and you will need a deed of trust to show the child’s beneficial ownership.
