Which is the correct legal name?

Question:

When selling a property with a bare trust beneficial ownership registered with the land registry in individual names, which is the legal name?

The legal names will show on the transfer. But capital gains tax follows beneficial ownership; see HMRC’s Capital Gains Manual at CG70230. Presumably, you have documentation (e.g., a declaration of trust) showing that the individuals hold the property on bare trust.
