Mark McLaughlin - Tax Content Director, Managing Editor, CTA (Fellow) ATT TEP

Mark is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is the Editor of Bloomsbury Professional's 'Core Tax Annuals' series, and a co-author of the 'Inheritance Tax Annual' from that series. Mark is Editor of the 'Tax Planning Annual', and co-author of 'Ray & McLaughlin's Practical IHT Planning' (Bloomsbury Professional), and is also a contributor to other tax publications. He has written numerous articles for professional journals, including Taxation, Tax Adviser, Tolley's Practical Tax, Tax Journal and Simon's Weekly Tax Intelligence.

 

Mark is the co-founder of TaxationWeb, the UK's leading independent tax portal.

 

Since January 1998, Mark has been a consultant in his tax practice, Mark McLaughlin Associates, which provides tax consultancy and support services to professional firms throughout the UK.

 

Amer Siddiq - Managing Director

Tax Insider was founded by Amer Siddiq in 2006. Amer is an entrepreneur, experienced landlord, author (How to Avoid Landlord Taxes) and public speaker.

 

Although not a tax advisor (or accountant for that matter), Amer's passion for minimising taxes came about when he started to grow his own property portfolio. He wanted grow it in such a way so that he paid as little tax as possible (and legitimately). He struggled to find the advice he was looking for so he teamed up with tax experts to bring about the website Property Tax Portal, a website dedicated to helping property investors and developers minimise their taxes. The huge success of this website lead to Amer naturally progressing into general taxation with Tax Insider.

Amer has since launched other internet businesses including Property Portfolio Software, a website that sells landlord software solutions. Prior to setting up his own internet businesses Amer was employed as a software designer and designed specialised, custom solutions for retail companies. He spent several years travelling the world, designing easy to use software and powerful solutions for some of the biggest retailers in the world.

 

Matino Matijevic - Marketing Director 

A marketing management graduate and a former Marketing Consultant for the City of Nice in France, Martino brings a considerable marketing experience. Having subsequently trained as Web Developer with the European Commission in Brussels, he was one of the developers behind LateRooms.com and Orange.fr.

 

Martino is also the co-founder of TaxationWeb, leading independent UK tax website (and a sister company behind Tax Insider), eTaxJobs, TaxBookShop and TaxEvents.

In addition to tax-related websites, Martino is also behind several travel-related websites, such as WhichBudget.com, a budget airlines directory, Beta.Travel, a flight search enginge and TheTravelMagazine.net, an online version of the glossy print travel magazine.
